Vivian M. Barnhart, 97, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on Wednesday, March 1, 2017. She was born in Gladwin, Michigan, on January 7, 1920, the daughter of Joseph & Margarete (Parot) Taylor. She first married Victor Culver and he preceded her in death. She then married Harold J. Barnhart in 1956 and he too preceded her in death in 1991. She married Martin Anderson and he preceded her in death in 2011. She had lived in Gladwin County for the past 30 previously residing in Flint, Michigan. She was employed as an inspector at Chevrolet Plant in Flint, during World War II. She then went to work for Mrs. Hine’s Convalescent Home, in Flint as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Gladwin, Linden and Flint, where she became a Master Guide at the Flint church working with children. She was Leader of the Pathfinders at the church for 16 years, and also spent 16 years teaching Vacation Bible School. She loved children and was an avid Nature lover, especially when it came to birds and she enjoyed gardening and camping. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter: Janine Brueggeman of Gladwin; 4 beautiful grandchildren: Jeremy (Jessica) Parmelee; Branden (Santana) Brueggeman; Christina Brueggeman; Colleen (Jacob) Willard; 2 precious great grandchildren: Emily and Jakeson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by 3 husbands; parents; 2 brothers: Ronald and Andrew Taylor; 2 sisters: Victoria Hartwell and Gloria Brewer. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2017, 10:00 A.M. with visitation beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Gladwin Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
