Aldon E. Edick Sr., 89, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at the Gladwin Pines Nursing Home on Wednesday, December 28, 2016. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 25, 1927 the son of Thomas Leonard & Faye (Thorington) Edick. On August 22, 1947 he married his true love Betty M. Foutch in Gladwin. They shared 49 wonderful years together before she predeceased him in 1996. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during World War II. He retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland in 1982 with 35 years of service. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin County and a member of the United Methodist Church. His memory will be forever cherished by his son: Aldon Jr. (Donna) Edick of Rockford; daughters: Jan Ferris of Lake City, Florida; Beth (Waine) Heintz of Gladwin; Maryann (Bill) Adams of New Lothrop. His children blessed him with 9 beautiful grandchildren and 16 precious great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his sister: Ann Moore of Newago. He is preceded in death by his wife; 2 great grandchildren: Daren Ferris and Levi Heintz; parents; son in-law: Gene Ferris. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Dave Mead on Saturday, December 31, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 4-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
