Raymond Joseph Radzwion, 88, of Sanford, Michigan passed away at Medilodge of Midland on Tuesday, November 8, 2016. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 15, 1928 the son of Joseph Sr. & Leontine (Claeys) Radzwion. On October 29, 1983 he married the love of his life, Patricia Nettleton-Stroman in Edenville, Michigan. Ray was a veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country in the 114 th Combat Engineers during the Korean Conflict. He was a Milkman with Twin Pines Dairy in Detroit, and later retired from Robinson Industries in Coleman. He had lived in Midland County for the last 32 years, previously residing in Beaverton. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, a member of the VFW and of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, turkey hunting, sports, boating and was very patient teaching his grandchildren to hunt. He was a very kind and generous man and he loved spending time with and spoiling his grandchildren. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 33 wonderful years, Patricia Nettleton-Stroman of Sanford; step children: Pam (Paul) Mason of Beaverton; Deborah (Scott) Johnson of Montclair, California; Mike (Laurie) Stroman of Beaverton. He was blessed with 5 beautiful step grandchildren: Melissa (Tom) Skinner of Germany; Shelly (Randy) Claypool of Gladwin; Josh (Stephani) Mason of Fort Rucker, Alabama; Rebecca (Jorden) Miller of Gladwin Miranda Stroman (Fiance’ Jeremy Holst) of White Cloud and 7 wonderful step great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his 2 sisters: Rita Marfuta; Annette Rocheleau; 2 brothers: Alvin Radzwion; Thomas (Marsha) Radzwion, and sister-in-law Marie. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Joseph Jr.; sister: Joyce; 2 brother in-laws: Charles and Al. Funeral Mass will be conducted by Fr. Dan Fox on Friday, November 11, 2016, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. (St. Agnes, Sanford) The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 5-8:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
