Jenette M. Hopkins

Jenette M. Hopkins, 87, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away after suffering a massive stroke on Saturday, October 29, 2016. She was born in Flint, Michigan on March 5, 1929 the daughter of Lawrence & Gertrude (Gilles) Surbeck. On June 12, 1948 she was united in marriage to Harry Hopkins in Flint. He predeceased her in 1971. She had lived in Meredith, Michigan since 1962 and she was owner/operator of the Meredith Inn in Meredith. Jenette was also the Franklin Township Clerk, retiring after 26 years of service. She was a very loving, caring mother and grandmother, and she was totally devoted to the love and care of her handicap son, Chris. She will be dearly missed by her daughter: Patricia (Glen) Lewis of St. Johns; sons: Louie Hopkins of Gladwin; Christopher Hopkins of St. Johns; daughter: Ann Hopkins of Frankenmuth; daughter in-law: Carol Hopkins of Davison. Her children blessed her with 10 beautiful grandchildren and 6 wonderful great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband: Harry Hopkins; son: Michael Hopkins. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 3, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
