Michael David Kruskie, 65, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 16, 2016. He was born in Bay City, Michigan on June 25, 1951, the son of Elmer & Irene (Cox) Kruskie. He was a veteran of the United States Army proudly serving his country during Vietnam Era. He had lived in Gladwin County for the last 16 years, and he was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Kruskie Excavating. He loved the outdoors and traveling, and he was fortunate to be able to live in Alaska, Montana and Washington State. He very much enjoyed hunting for big game, fishing and panning for gold. He was a collector of antiques, he especially loved searching for Petosky stones and loved to go picking. His memory will be forever cherished by his daughters: Dawn Kruskie of Kimball; Debbie Kruskie of Warren; son: Chad Kruskie. He was blessed with 10 beautiful grandchildren whom he adored and loved to spoil: Gregory, Reese, Nojah; Demondre, Gino, Natalya, Chad Jr., Hayle, Kylie and Elsie; mother: Irene Kruskie of Beaverton; sister: Nancy (Gary) Jarvis of Bay City; brothers: Bill (Sharon) Kruskie of Alaska; Pat (Lynn) Kruskie of Rhodes; several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his father; Elmer Kruskie. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial luncheon will be served in his honor on Saturday, October 1, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the Estey Hall, Estey, Michigan with Military Honors. Arrangements are in the care of Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
