Lawrence “Larry” Maloney, 68, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. He was born on June 8, 1948, the son of Lawrence & Colleen (Holihan) Maloney in Detroit, Michigan. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. On June 6, 1992, he married his true love Mary Mankowski in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. He was employed by Ford Motor Company, Sterling Heights Plant as an electrician, until his retirement in 2012. He has lived in Gladwin County for the past 3 years, previously residing in Chesterfield, Michigan. Larry was an avid sports fan and loved fishing, hunting, bowling, and going to the casino. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 24 years: Mary Maloney of Gladwin; children: Larry, Kelly, Stacy, and Amanda; grandchildren: Matthew, Emma; many other family & friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: Lisa Redfern. Honoring his wishes cremation will take place and a Memorial Service will be conducted by Father Dan Fox on Monday, September 26, 2016, 3:00 P.M. at 1532 Moose Drive, Gladwin, Michigan.
