Sylvia M. Whitsel

Sylvia M. Whitsel, 88, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away at home on Friday, September 9, 2016. She was born the daughter of Jasper & Elsa (Paini) Tall on October 29, 1927, in Columbus, Ohio. On August 29, 1947, she married the love of her life Earl Walter Whitsel. He preceded her in death in 1995. She attended the Ohio State University where she first met her future husband Earl. Sylvia has lived in Gladwin County since 2007, previously residing in Canton, Ohio. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Karen (Ron) Stevens of Richmond, Indiana; Susan (Larry) Radtke of Whitehall, Michigan; Earl (Janet) Whitsel Jr. of Waynesville, Ohio; Douglas Whitsel of Dover, Ohio; Deborah (Frank Kordus) Whitsel of Gladwin; Bruce Whitsel of Canton; Gary Whitsel of Canton; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband: Earl; sister: Nina Ventresca; brothers: Robert Tall, and William “Bill” Tall. Honoring her wishes cremation will take place.
