Leonard Edward Still, a longtime resident of Gladwin County, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016.He was born on Oct. 5, 1950 in Gladwin, Michigan, son of Edward and Eleanore Still. He was a graduate of Gladwin High School.Leonard was an avid hunter and always enjoyed the outdoors camping, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and especially bear hunting. He enjoyed poker night with family and friends. Along with Ray Klamert, Leonard Still helped establish the Clement Township Volunteer Fire Department. He also volunteered at various National Wildlife Refuges and State Parks across the county.
He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife Carol Still, whom he married on July 14, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters: Amanda Still, Keinda, Heather, and Shellee; siblings: Shirley Kinney, Ruth Miller, Fred Still and their spouses. He is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren: Thomas, Logan, Trenton and Cheyenne; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Leonard was preceded in death by his grandparents Daniel and Wanda Neuman, and parents Edward and Eleanore Still. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016, 2 p.m., at 4151 Schmidt Road in Gladwin.
