Ray Gene Bruff

Ray Gene Bruff, 70, of Harrison, Michigan, passed away at Mid-Michigan Health, Midland, Michigan, on Monday, August 29, 2016. He was born the son of Junior & Mona (Bollinger) Bruff on January 15, 1946, in Messler, Missouri. On September 18, 1965, he was united in marriage to Nancy Stout in Flint, Michigan. Ray was employed by General Motors in Flint, Michigan, and retired in 1994. He had lived in Clare County for the past 25 years, previously residing in Burton, Michigan. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and belonged to many hunting clubs. Ray was a devoted family man, and truly adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years: Nancy Bruff of Harrison; son: Skip (Sherry) Bruff of Genesee, Michigan; daughters: Robin (Doug) MacGregor of Clio, Michigan; Michelle (John) Elliott of Gladwin, Michigan; grandchildren: Brandon, Kayla, Chris, Kayleigh, Kyle, Shane, Courtney, Kade; great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Addisyn, Brynley. He is also survived by his brothers: Lee Bruff of Escanaba, Michigan; Mark (Kelly) Bruff of Burton, Michigan; Pat (Toni) Bruff also of Burton, Michigan; many nieces & nephews; brother in-laws: Charles Stout and Allen (Ananias) Stout; sister in-law: Mary (Rosemberg) Monte and special cousin Vicki Baldwin. Ray will also be remembered by many friends and great hunting buddies. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother: Jerry Bruff. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Steve Richardson on Saturday, September 3, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 2, 2016, from 5-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at McClure Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made according to the wishes of the family.
