Walter R. Anderson

Walter R. Anderson, 81, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at Heavenly Homestead Nursing Home in Gladwin on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was born in Letcher County Kentucky on August 22, 1934, the son of Irvin & Hattie (Mullins) Anderson. On December 7, 1991, he was united in marriage to Donna S. Millican in Washtenaw County, Michigan. Walter was a proud veteran of the United States Airforce. He was employed with Ford Motor Company in Woodhaven as a supervisor, retiring in 1992. After his retirement he moved to Clare County from Saline. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 24 wonderful years, Donna Anderson of Gladwin; son: Randall (Pat) Anderson of Saline; daughter: Stacy (Chris) Quick of Gladwin; son: Todd (Leigh Ann) Perkins of St. Petersburg, Florida. His children blessed him with 14 beautiful grandchildren: Kathy, Heather, Bethany, Caitlynn, Brenden, Brooklynn, Chloe, Alex, Kaitlynn, Jennifer, Andrea, Stephanie, William and Richard; 12 precious great grandchildren. He will also be dearly missed by his brother: Willie Anderson; sisters: Wilma Houston, Vonda Reynolds, Ruby Henley and Carol Sampsonoff. He is preceded in death by his daughters: Judy and Regina; son: Mark; parents; Irvin & Hattie Anderson; brother: John; sister: Edith. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of his life will be conducted by Neil Anderson on Saturday, August 20, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the Revolution Church of God, 2987 E. Cranberry Lake Rd., Harrison, Michigan, 48625. Those wishing to honor his memory in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association.
