Devon M. Callas

April 10, 2013 — August 4, 2016

Our beloved superhero, Devon Michael Callas passed from our hands on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Devon blessed the lives of his parents, Michael & Melissa on April 10, 2013 and spent his short time here teaching those around him the power of a smile, and the true meaning of bravery. He had the most beautiful blue eyes. His sense of humor was contagious and he had a very wild imagination. He would come up with the funniest sayings such as “What’s the big idea?” and “Are you kidding me?”. Devon loved to be outside, fishing and chasing birds, squirrels and chipmunks. His favorite game to play with his Grandma & Pa was The Big Bad Wolf. His love and admiration for his brother was boundless. Although his time here was limited, the love he gave and received was anything but. Devon’s memory will live on in the hearts of his parents: Michael & Melissa Callas of Midland; brother: Weston Callas of Midland; grandparents: Steve & Penny Sterling of Midland; Pete Callas & Maryann Bowden of Saginaw; grandfather: Dick Lemmer of Beaverton; great grandmother: Beverly Tinney also of Beaverton. Waiting to receive him in his heavenly home are his grandmother: Sheri Lemmer; great grandparents: Dede Gedney, Edward Tinney and Junior Grove. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 5-8:00 P.M. Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the Pulmonary Hypertension Association. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
