Wendy Lee Rigg

September 23, 1954 — June 22, 2016

Wendy Lee Rigg, 61, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away, after a long courageous battle with cancer, at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 with her loving husband at her side. She was born the daughter of Lee and Carole (Methner) Macklem on September 23, 1954 in Midland, Michigan. She married her true soul mate Gary D. Rigg on June 25, 1999 in Tennessee. She had lived in Gladwin County most of her life, previously residing in Midland, Michigan. She exuded love in everything she did, from her service as a paramedic for Gladwin County EMS to taking care of her horses and her dogs. Wendy laughed the loudest when she was with family and friends, especially in horse camp, around a bonfire with her large German Shepherds at her side. Wendy loved the outdoors and helping with chores around the farm. Her memory will live on in the heart of her devoted husband of 16 years, Gary Rigg of Gladwin; daughter Penny (Michael) Grzenia of Midland; son Jeremy (Tracy) Eagle of Midland; and stepson Christopher (Noni) Rigg of Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was blessed with five grandchildren: Seth, Logan, Sophia, Nate and August. She is also survived by her mother Carole Macklem; her brother Scott (Renee) Macklem of Deltona, Florida; two nieces Lindsey and Sarah and one sister in-law Marjorie Neuenfeldt of Merrill, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her father Lee Macklem and four sister in-laws: Donna Nohel, Wilma Eurich, Marion Shively, and Alice Bucholz. Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Lower on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial contributions will be used according to the wishes of the family. www.hallkokotovichfuneralhome.com
