Pearl DeVenny, 95, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at the Gladwin Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre on Sunday, October 11, 2015. She was born in Moosejaw, Saskatchewan on September 14, 1920, the daughter of William & Martha (Yerke) Suter. She moved to Gladwin County in 1928 where she remained until her death. On September 25, 1938, she was united in marriage to her sweetheart, George DeVenny in Beaverton, Michigan. They shared 59 wonderful years before he predeceased her in 1997. She and George loved camping, and traveled all over the United States in their camper. She retired from W H Hall & Son Lumber in Beaverton, Michigan, with over 30 years of service as a secretary, and she was a founding member of the Tobacco River Muzzleloaders Club. She loved playing cards and enjoyed visiting with anyone who would stop by for cup of coffee. She leaves her son Richard (Sandra) DeVenny of Alamo, Texas to cherish her memory; 2 grandchildren: Patty (Martin) Vondrasek of Owosso; Tehea Minke of Gladwin; 3 great grandchildren: Jacob Vondrasek of Ypsilanti; Deven Minke of Gladwin; Drew Minke of Gladwin; brother: Chet Suter of Grand Rapids and several nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband: George; parents; 7 sisters. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 5:30 P.M. at The Tobacco River Muzzle Loaders Club 2896 South M-18 Beaverton, Michigan 48612.
