John Patrick Mckenna

John Patrick McKenna, 82, of Gladwin, Michigan, passed away on Friday, June, 3, 2016. He was born on February 7, 1934, the son of Frank & Anna Marie (Sullivan) McKenna, in Hamilton Township, Clare County. John was a 4 year veteran of the United States Marines and 25 year veteran of the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam Era. He had lived in Gladwin County for most of his life. He was an avid woodworker and loved his dogs over the years: P.J., Charlie, Archer. Left to cherish his memory are his sisters: Margaret Ann Flynn of Gladwin; Mary Bremer of Saginaw; Mildred Wells of Alpena; many nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Francis “Mac”, Mark, William “Bill”, Jerome; and sister: Germaine. Memorial Services with military honors will be conducted by Pastor Brad Lower on Saturday, June 18, 2016, 1:00 P.M., with a gathering for family and friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan.
