Charles H. Wright Iii

Charles H. Wright III, 79, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016. He was born on February 17, 1937, the son of Charles II & Eileen (Coughlin) Wright. On September 3, 1982, he married his true love Shirley Mae Phillips in Jackson County Michigan. She predeceased him in 2015. He had lived in Gladwin County for the last 30 years, previously residing in Chelsea, Michigan. He was employed with Kelsey Hayes in Millford as an Engineer until his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5280 and held the title of 4th Degree Knight. He was also a member of F.O.E. Albright Shores Aerie 3655 and the Elks, Rotundra West 2710. His memory will be forever cherished by his children: Charles W. (Tillie) Wright of Otsego; Steven (Shirley) Wright of Georgia; Laura (Tracey) McGraw of Ferndale; Kelly (Michael) Anderson of Scottsdale, Arizona; step-children: Debbie (Rick) Call of Gladwin; Jill (Mark) Greer of Gladwin; Thomas (Karen) Blonde of Gladwin; Amy (Jeff) Cammet of South Lyon. He was blessed with 17 beautiful grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister’s: Judy Wright of Naples, Florida; Terri (David) Rittenhouse of Ft. Lauderville, Florida. He is preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Mae Wright; son: Marty Wright and his parents. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be conducted by Fr. Marcel Portelli on Saturday, May 14, 2016, 11:00 A.M., with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan. Those wishing to send an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers are asked to consider the Knights of Columbus Council 5280.
