Roland "Rollie" L. Newman

Roland “Rollie” Lee Newman, 66, of Clare, Michigan passed away at his home on Friday, May 6, 2016. He was born in Clare on April 30, 1950 the son of Glen & Edith (Sanders) Newman. On June 22, 1968 he was united in marriage to his true love Sue Cingano in Gladwin, Michigan. Roland was a lifetime resident of Clare County and he was fortunate enough to be able to share his love of the land and live his dream as a dairy farmer on the same property where he was born and raised. He was an avid outdoorsman and very much enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, and loved watching his grandchildren compete in sports. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 47 years, Sue Newman of Clare and their 3 children: Kelly Barber of Beaverton; Kerry (Neil) Berthume of Coleman; Rick (Wendy) Newman of Clare. He was blessed with 6 beautiful grandchildren: Janae (Ryan); Kelsey, Laken, Jaden, Taylor and Kayla; 1 precious great grandchild: Raiden; siblings: Joyce (George) Earle of Clare; Larry (Carolyn) Newman of Beaverton; Jim (Shirley) Newman of Gladwin; Ruth (Sam) Bagnieski of Beaverton; and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Jeremy Bear on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2-8:00 P.M. He will be laid to rest at Arthur Twp. Cemetery, Clare, Michigan.
