Lloyd James Brubaker, 88, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 1, 2016. He was born in Gladwin, Michigan on February 17, 1928, the son of Lawrence & Eva (Myers) Brubaker. On November 4, 1993 he married Mary Devine in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was employed as a truck driver, working for Ray Moulder Trucking in Taylor, Michigan until his retirement. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1988, previously residing in Inkster, Michigan. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin and he was a member and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 5280. He enjoyed sports and he was a die-hard Spartan Fan. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 22 years, Mary Brubaker of Beaverton; son: Douglas (Carol) Brubaker of Gladwin; daughter: Marcella (Michael) Bordeau of Centennial, Colorado; son: Jeffrey (Beverly) Brubaker of Aurora, Colorado; daughter: Chris Avery of Westland, Michigan; son: Karl Brubaker of Canton, Michigan; daughter: Marlene (Terry) Kengerski of Waterford, Michigan; step-daughter: Cheryl (Dr. David) Obudzinski of Royal Oak, Michigan. He was blessed with 12 beautiful grandchildren and 9 precious great grandchildren. He is also survived by 11 brothers and sisters: Bernard Brubaker of Midland; Patricia Milkes of Beaverton; Charles Brubaker of Beaverton; Steve Brubaker of Midland; Delano Brubaker of Midland; Sarah Cabela of Freeland; Betty Shea of Gladwin; Leah Martindale of Delton; Alva Gardner of Harrison; Grace McKimmy of Beaverton; Dennis Brubaker of Beaverton and several nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Tony Brubaker and Floyd Brubaker; 1st wife: Deloris J. Brubaker. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, May 6, 2016, 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 2-9:00 P.M., with a Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Beaverton, Michigan. He will be laid to rest at United Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Plymouth, Michigan on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
