Dale A. Stoddard

Dale A. Stoddard, 78, of Beaverton, Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Dale was born to James & Viola (Dolson) Stoddard on September 20, 1937 in Alpena, Michigan. On February 13, 1988 he was united in marriage to Carol (Marvin) Walters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1989, previously residing in Belleville, Michigan. He was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Operating Engineers Local 324 in Livonia, Michigan until his retirement. His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 28 years, Carol Stoddard of Beaverton; sons: Greg (Penny) Stoddard of Lake City; Dean Stoddard of Traverse City; daughter: Peggy Devereaux of Traverse City; step-sons: Trevor Walters of Cadillac; Eric Walters of Reno, Nevada. He was blessed with 2 wonderful grandsons: Jason (Melanie) Stoddard and Cody Emery of Manton; 8 beautiful granddaughters: Damie (Bill) Powell and Chelsi Stoddard of Manton; Jenna Stoddard and Brooke Emery of Traverse City; Taylor Walters; Mackenzie Walters and Brittany Bakke of Cadillac; Ellen (Jeremy) Rose of Lake City; 8 precious great grandchildren. He is also survived by his only brother: Allan (Leona) Stoddard of Lachine; special nephew: Ben (Carie) Marvin as well as several nieces & nephews and many, many very special friends. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
