David Lee Sullivan

David Lee Sullivan, 61, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away at Hilltop Manor Health Care Center in Roscommon, Michigan on Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born in Gladwin on October 13, 1954, the son of Austin E. & Dora (Thomas) Sullivan. On February 14, 1975, he married Mary E. Coleman at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin. He was employed with Simpson Industries in Gladwin from 1972-1998, then he worked for several other companies including Warner Petroleum and Shawn Muma Logging before working for Sugar Springs Golf Course doing maintenance until the fall of 2012 when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. He was a lifetime resident of Gladwin, and he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. David loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, shooting, fishing and trapping. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary E. Sullivan of Gladwin and their children: Luke Austin (Sabrina Hall) Sullivan of Kawkawlin, Michigan; Christopher Alan (Melissa Randal) Sullivan of St. Helen, Michigan; Kate Avis Sullivan (Mike Timreck) of Eureka, Missouri. His children blessed him with 4 beautiful grandchildren: Sean David Sullivan; Isabel Virginia Sullivan; Ashley DeeAnn Sullivan; Marshall Mac Timreck. He is also survived by his brother: William Sullivan of Bruneau, Idaho; sisters: Jean (Ted) Smith of Houghton Lake; Janet (Ken) Schiemann of East Jordan; JoAnn Sullivan; Rhonda (Art) Goodwin both of Gladwin; brothers: J. Michael (Debbie) Sullivan of Burbank, California; Bob (Thelma Allbee) Sullivan of Gladwin; brother in-law: Dennis Short of Gladwin; father in-law: Leo J. Coleman of Gladwin; brother in-law: Tim (Sharon) Coleman of Coleman; sister in-laws: Margot DeArman of Gladwin; Christine (D. Steven) Waugh of Gladwin and India; Lisa Coleman of Gladwin; brother in-law: Robert A. Coleman; sister in-law: Regina Coleman of Gladwin; several nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister: DeeAnn Short; brother: Ronald Lee Sullivan; sister in-law: Edna Sullivan. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 1, 2016 from 2-8:00 P.M. He will be laid to rest at Sherman Twp. Cemetery, Gladwin, Michigan.
