Leonard L. Finney

Leonard L. Finney, 84, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at Mid Michigan Health in Midland, Michigan on Monday, March 14, 2016. He was born in Midland County Michigan on July 23, 1931, the son of Hugh & Florence (Dolph) Finney. On May 10, 1974, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Willia Hiett-Green in Clare, Michigan. He was a lifetime resident of Midland County and attended Beaverton Church of the Nazarene. He was a hardworking man all his life, farming and doing construction work. He was employed with Coleman School District as a school bus driver until his retirement in 1993. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife of 41 years, Willia Finney of Beaverton and children: Leonard Paul Finney of Beaverton, Kenneth Scott Green of Cadillac, Stephen D. Green of Florida, Nikki Kultala of St. Clair Shores, Murlin Todd (Baiba) Green of Gaylord. He was blessed with 12 beautiful grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Olive Deitsch of Freeland and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Hugh and Florence Finney; 4 sisters: Mary Finney, Nora Finney, Dicia Finney and Gladys Syers; brothers: Lawrence Finney and Leo Finney. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Memorial Services will be conducted by Pastor Martin Hodge on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 1:00 P.M., with visitation beginning at 12:00 P.M. at Beaverton Church of the Nazarene, Beaverton, Michigan.
