William Orville Wood, 90, of Gladwin, Michigan passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was born in Flint, Michigan on January 6, 1926. He was united in marriage to Mary Hutson in Pontiac, Michigan. They shared 42 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death in 1988. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, proudly serving his country during World War II. He was employed by Pontiac Motors for 34 years, retiring in 1980. He has resided in Gladwin since 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Gladwin VFW. He was very devoted to and loved his family dearly. His memory will be cherished by his daughter Deborah J. Kuklaw of Houghton Lake and daughter in law Sandra (Gorsline) Wood of Gladwin. He was blessed by 5 grandchildren: Mark Kuklaw; Brigit (Chuck) Quick; Steve Wood; Ginger (Ken) Reed; Carrie (Brian) Wood Mackiewicz; 5 great grandchildren: William, Austin, Olivia, and Lily. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Wood; son, Timothy Wood; granddaughter, Carrie Wood; his parents William and Carrie Wood; and 10 brothers and sisters. A gathering will take place on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home Gladwin, Michigan from 2-5pm, with Military Honor’s at 4pm. He will be laid to rest along his family’s side at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
