Mildred M. Quinn, 89 of Gladwin, MI passed away March 11, 2016. She was born in Lansing, MI April 15, 1926. In 1945 she married Wilber Quinn, who preceded her in death in 1977. They had six children, Marta Quinn, twins Sonja Rigg and Tonja (Kenneth) Reder, a second set of twins Teena Quinn and Michael (Barbra) Quinn, and Lawrence (Joann) Quinn. Mildred had seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She helped raise Harrison (Christine) Nelson and enjoyed visits with his three daughters. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Croff and brother, William “Bud” Miller.
Mildred loved reading, bird watching, gardening and knitting. For several years she managed the Gladwin Fluoride Program for Children, with her friend Rose Rusak. In her later years, she knitted memory blankets for parents experiencing the loss of a newborn.
Funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00, with visitation beginning at 11:00 at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. Luncheon following at Community of Christ Church, Gladwin. She will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery, Gladwin.
