Henry List

Henry List, age 72, of Beaverton, passed away Saturday morning February 27, 2016 at his home with his family at his side. Henry was born March 26, 1943 in Royersford PA to the late Paul and Leona (Royer) List.
Henry grew up in Royersford, PA Henry graduated from Spring-Ford High School, Royersford,PA in 1961. He graduated from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, PA in 1965 and from Bethany Theological Seminary in Oakbrook, IL in 1968. Later, Henry received his PHD in theology.
Henry moved to the area in 1968 as a pastor with the Beaverton Church of the Brethren being his first church. Over the years Henry also pastored the Arthur Center Church of God and was currently pastoring the Crystal Church of the Brethren. Henry recently retired from Modern Woodmen of America as a financial representative after 30 years of service. Henry also owned the Beaverton Gem Theater since 2001. He recently sold the theater due to health conditions.
Henry was married July 11, 2009 to his loving wife Susan. He also had various interests such as photography, flying, stamp collecting, polishing rocks with which he made jewelry. Henry was also a volunteer with the Beaverton Fire Department and with the children’s camp at Camp Brethren Heights for many years.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Susan List of Beaverton; Sons Chris List of Romulus, Mark (Kali) List of Midland; daughter Lori (Don) Weaver of Midland, Sister Florence List of Royersford, PA and the children’s mother, Nellie List of Beaverton.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 3PM until 8PM at the Hall-Kokotivich Funeral Home, Beaverton. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday March 3, 2016 at the Beaverton Church of the Brethren at 11AM with Pastor Nate Polzin officiating, visitation prior to service starting at 10 AM. Burial will be at the Tobacco Township (Dale) Cemetery.
