Maureen A. Bittinger

Maureen Aarol Bittinger, 76, of Lake Fenton, Michigan passed away at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. She was born in Gladwin, Michigan on August 19, 1939, to Iris "Ike" H. & Valda A. (Shell) Greer. On June 25, 1960, she was united in marriage to Stanley Ray Bittinger, from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. They shared 38 wonderful years together before he predeceased her in death in 1998. She had lived in Genesee County most of her life and she was a member of a F.O.E. Gladwin Aerie 3292 Auxiliary. She was very career oriented. She started her employment as a secretary and worked her way to the level of Management. She dedicated 40 years of service before retiring from the Department of Housing & Urban Development. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter: Michele Bittinger of Antioch, Illinois; sons: D. Scott Bittinger and Stacey Bittinger both of Lake Fenton, Michigan, and especially her 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Grant. There will definitely be a void for her sister and "partner in crime" Gail Anderson and several nieces & nephews. Waiting to receive her in her heavenly home is her husband: Stanley Bittinger; parents: Iris "Ike" and Valda Greer; brother: Gary Greer; and sister: Darla Rellinger. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Brad Withrow on Saturday, February 27, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services.
