Walter H. Raines

Walter H. Raines, 87, of Beaverton, Michigan passed away at Mid Michigan Health in Midland, Michigan on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on June 12, 1928, the son of Lawrence & Maggie Raines. He was united in marriage to Bette Bidwell who predeceased him. He was employed with Ultimate Precision in Madison Heights, Michigan until his retirement. He had lived in Gladwin County since 1996, previously residing in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Walter was a member of F.O.E. Albright Shores Aerie 3655 and also the Masons. His memory will be cherished by his only son Walter H.L. (Janis) Raines of Houston, Texas. He was blessed with 2 beautiful grandchildren: Brian and Angela; 2 great grandchildren: Matthew and Tyler; 1 great-great granddaughter: Klohie. He is also survived by his significant other: Racheal Matthews. He is preceded in death by his wife: Bette Raines and his parents. Graveside Services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan.
